PROJECT:
Create an experimental website design that breaks the original and modern day design strategies to make a unique and interesting design.
PROBLEM:
Design needs to break the traditional way of “boxing” things off and making the layout more flexible and unique for user experience. Website needs to be created using only Html + CSS and Javascript
SOLUTION:
For this design I decided to go with the Harry Potter Franchise and create a design that looks like your are living in the Harry Potter universe. All of the books are moving up and down using Javascript to give users a magical feeling. All of the text moves when you hover over it to also give it a magical feeling. When you select a book all of the content changes to give users information they need for whichever book they selected such as the book cover, title, and a brief description. There is also an audio player that plays only when the user turns it on and will play Hedwigs theme song from the movie soundtrack. This design is purely done in html + css and javascript.

PROJECT:
Create a set of websites in multiple different designs for the same layout.
PROBLEM:
These website designs are mockups of potential websites using the same layout that need different designs using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
SOLUTION:
For the first design I created Acme Law which is a law firm company and I gave it a design that works in a professional setting. I gave the design a color scheme of Blue and Black to give it a trustworthy approach to their clients. For the second design I created Acme Bakery. I decided to give Acme Bakery a warm toned color scheme to make people happy and hungry. For the third design I created Acme trucking. I decided to give the website a more rough and rustic aesthetic for that on-road feeling. For my final design choice using the same layout I created Acme Beauty. I wanted to give Acme Beauty a professional and modern look using black and white imagery. I also chose a dark purple color scheme to give off a sleek and feminine look.
BROTHER'S KEEPER

PROJECT:
Create and redesign a website for Brother’s Keeper which is a non-profit organization. This project was apart of College Of Central Florida’s Co-op internship program. I interned as a web designer for Brother’s Keeper in this team-based project.
PROBLEM:
Website needed to be created using WordPress and Elementor Plugin. The design needed to fit the same color scheme as the Brother’s Keeper company logo. Design also needed to be easily accessible and efficient for people of all ages. Client also needs two sets of wireframes of the design and mood boards to go with it.
SOLUTION:
We created a website that was easy to use for people of all ages. Every page is easy to read and allows users to quickly access information that they need in a time efficient manner. I created wireframes using the program Adobe XD and mood boards in Adobe Photoshop that fit the necessary design requirements for the client.

PROJECT:
Create a working web design concept for a celebrity.
PROBLEM:
Website needs to be created using WordPress and Elementor page builder plugin tool. Website needs to feature a home page that displays important and/or popular content, a gallery, and merchandise page.
SOLUTION:
For this website design I decided to make a website for Country music artist Carrie Underwood. I created a design that is modern, sleek and matches her current aesthetic from her Cry Pretty album. The home page features popular albums and youtube videos featuring popular songs from her career. Website also features popular social media links to connect users with the artist to stay up to date with her work and any upcoming releases.

PROJECT:
Design a website for a non-profit organization in a mobile-first design format.
PROBLEM:
Design needs to be created using a mobile first design concept in Html + Css and needs to be responsive and reactive when enlarged to tablet and desktop versions.
SOLUTION:
For this website I decided to use Fine Arts For Ocala as the concept for this design. This website was created using only Html + Css and the layout is designed in a mobile friendly layout. I also created a hamburger navigation system so that users can quickly and efficiently use the website in a clean and modern format. When using a website on a desktop the design changes from a single one column layout into a two column layout.

PROJECT:
Redesign Suzanne Collins’s website in a more modern day approach.
PROBLEM:
This is a concept design for Suzanne Collins’s website. Website must contain all of the original content from the previous website. New content can be added to the redesign but nothing can be removed from the original website
SOLUTION:
I designed a website for Suzanne Collins’s that is fitting for her famous books and movie franchise of the Hunger Games Series. Website showcases all the books she has written in a clean and modern way. I also added movie trailers that are linked to youtube and all of the books are linked to external webpages where users can preview sections of the book before purchasing.

PROJECT:
Create a website design concept and a logo for a Mom and Pop company.
PROBLEM:
Website needs to be created using Html + Css and Logo needs to be design in Adobe Illustrator
SOLUTION:
I created a candy shop company called One Stop Sweet Shop and designed a website that gives it a colorful childlike feeling to the design. The logo was created in Adobe Illustrator and uses a lollipop for main imagery.

PROJECT:
Design a website using WordPress for a high-end product.
PROBLEM:
Website needs to feature an expensive high-end product. Website needs to have a working gallery, blog, home page, and contact us page.
SOLUTION:
For the high-end product that needed to be featured for this website design I decided to use a Slingshot by Polaris. The design for the website is modern and gives off a good vibes aesthetic. This website design was created using only WordPress and no other additional plugins or tools.

PROJECT:
Design an illustration using a flat design pattern.
PROBLEM:
Illustration must be minimal and have some basic shading within the project.
SOLUTION:
For this illustration, I decided to make some potted plants that are resting upon a wall hanging shelf. I kept everything minimal by using geometric shapes and a coordinating color palette.

Design an illustration of a car.
PROBLEM:
Illustration must be made in Adobe Illustrator.
SOLUTION:
For this illustration I decided to take inspiration from popular sports cars and use a color scheme that made the illustration look expensive and a high-end product. I designed this illustration in Adobe Illustrator.

PROJECT:
Create an illustration of an object that is considered “retro” and another illustration of the same object that is considered modern.
PROBLEM:
For this project I decided to create illustrations of cameras. Both illustrations needed to be made in Adobe Illustrator and needed to give off a realistic style of design as opposed to a more cartoon style.
SOLUTION:
The design for the retro camera is modeled after the “Polaroid 1000 + Q-Light Flash” because I wanted to give viewers a feeling of nostalgia and good feelings. The design for the modern camera is modeled after a “Nikon” and the color scheme I chose is to make it look more sleek in design.
AMERICAN FOOD ILLUSTRATION

PROJECT:
Design an illustration of a group of items that work well together.
PROBLEM:
Illustration needed to be made in Adobe Illustrator and can only make up to three items in the group. Items in the group need to work well and belong together.
SOLUTION:
I created this illustration of a drink, french fries, and a cheese burger using the program Adobe Illustrator. The food is modeled after popular fast food chains in America. The color red is usually associated food and is heavily believed to link the color red with hunger which is why I used it for the color of the drink and the container that the french fries are being contained within.

PROJECT:
Create an illustration of an object that is considered “retro” and another illustration of the same object that is considered modern.
PROBLEM:
For this project I decided to create illustrations of music listening devices. Both illustrations needed to be made in Adobe Illustrator and needed to give off a realistic style of design as opposed to a more cartoon style.
SOLUTION:
The design for cassette tape is inspired from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie. I chose to illustrate the cassette tape because I wanted to give viewers good vibes and feelings of nostalgia. For the modern music listening device I chose to illustrate an iPhone that is listening to a radio station application entitled “Classic Rock Radio” thus connecting the two pieces together because they are both from the same time frame.
DISINTEGRATE

PROJECT:
Create a illustration from a single word that corresponds with the chosen word.
PROBLEM:
Choose a single word and create an illustration using that word by using the program Adobe Illustrator.
SOLUTION:
For this design I took inspiration from Marvel’s movie Avengers: Infinity War and chose the word “Disintegrate”. Then I used Adobe Illustrator to make it appear as if the word disintegrate was in fact disintegrating. I chose a black and white color scheme to give the illustration a dramatic approach.

Design of a rollover button that fits a hotel company’s aesthetic
PROBLEM:
Using only Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop create an image that when a user hovers over it changes to a different image that goes with the original motif of a hotel aesthetic
SOLUTION:
Since this design would need to fit the aesthetic of a hotel I chose to make a rollover of elevator doors opening and closing. I also chose to make the elevator buttons green when pressed to give off a more natural feeling to scenery.

PROJECT:
Design a Door Hanger for a local state park.
PROBLEM:
Door Hanger design needs to be created using Adobe InDesign. Door hanger can be any local state park as long as its in Citrus, Levy, or Marion County.
SOLUTION:
For this design I created a design concept for Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. I created the design using Adobe InDesign and chose images of the wildlife that are located within the park. I used typefaces that give off an adventurous feeling for potential viewers.

PROJECT:
Create a magazine design layout of a destination located outside of the United States of America.
PROBLEM:
Magazine design layout must be created using the program Adobe InDesign. Magazine layout must feature a title of location, a quote, page numbers, and date when printed.
SOLUTION:
For this design I used Smoo Cave as the destination and featured imagery that perfectly showcases what the surrounding area looks. All the imagery gives credit to the photographers and the colors for all the text correspond with the imagery to keep the design consistent throughout the piece.

PROBLEM:

SOLUTION:
This design was created using Adobe Illustrator and I created flip flops for my everyday object. I kept the color scheme simple to give off a more modern and sleek approach to the design.

Design a booklet for tourists to find out information about the destination
PROBLEM:
Design needs to be created using Adobe InDesign.
SOLUTION:
For this design I created a concept company entitled Luxury Homes which showcases a tourist guide for nearby places to visit while staying at one of their vacation rentals. I chose imagery for this design that is fun, adventurous, while also keeping the design relaxing and soothing. This design was created using Adobe InDesign

Design of a rollover button that fits a hotel company’s aesthetic
PROBLEM:
Using only Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop create an image that when a user hovers over it changes to a different image that goes with the original motif of a hotel aesthetic
SOLUTION:
Since this design would need to fit the aesthetic of a hotel I chose to make a rollover of lounging chairs and a red umbrella. I created the selected imagery that communicated peaceful, relaxing, and a fun atmosphere.

Design for an app that tracks streaks for goals by using a todo list and calendar
PROBLEM:
The project needs to have the least amount of screens possible while also making a good app design. Design must be created using Apple’s IOS design patterns in Adobe XD
SOLUTION:
Since this app design needed the least amount of screens possible I created a design that would only use 7 screens. This app was also created using Apple’s IOS trending design patterns.

PROJECT:
Design and develop a quiz app for U.S. Presidents
PROBLEM:
The project needs to have the least amount of screens possible while also creating a simple but beautiful app design. The app also needs to have multiple choice and written answer format functionality. The project needs to have an app mascot as well.
SOLUTION:
Since this app design needed the least amount of screens possible I created a design that would only use 5 screens. The app has both a multiple-choice and a written answer format that can simply be changed through the settings screen. The project also contains an app mascot of a Bald Eagle that is presented throughout the results screen to motivate users with fun animations.

PROJECT:
Design and develop an app that tracks books to read, books already read, book ratings, and reading goals for the year.
PROBLEM:
The project needs to have the least amount of screens possible while also creating a simple but beautiful app design. I needed to work with api calls and core data while keeping the app as simple and clean as possible
SOLUTION:
Since this app design needed the least amount of screens possible I created a design that would only use 6 screens. The app uses the Google Books Api and Core Data to save users read books, TBR, ratings, and yearly goal.
